Deb is dual certified as an SPHR and SHRM-SCP, meaning she has achieved the highest level of Human Resources certification through the two premier certification providers—Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Additionally, she was one of the first HR professionals in the country to obtain senior certification through SHRM and she has been teaching the national SHRM certification prep class ever since. She is the go-to subject matter expert for dozens of organizations in northern New England.
Deb is a teacher and a mentor, and she has already had an impact on so many HR professionals. She can help you manage the inherent risk every time you hire a new employee, manage a disability, communicate performance expectations, design accountability programs, and work with you through employee relations challenges. She has been teaching at University of Southern Maine since 2010 and has served on the Maine Human Rights Commission as one of five governor-appointed Commissioners since 2011. Everything Deb has done professionally for over 30 years has prepared her to be your HR 1:1 mentor. Nobody in the state has Deb’s credentials; she is one of a kind!
